WA: Blaze in Perth's north contained
A bushfire which briefly threatened homes in Perth's north has been contained.
Fire authorities consider the fire suspicious .. with Fire and Emergency Services Association
spokesman RICK TYERS .. saying fires on a day like today don't just start without some
intervention.
He says the fire started shortly before 3pm (WDT) in Shepherds Bush Reserve in the
suburb of Kingsley .. north of the city.
DARREN THORN .. a resident of Firetail Crescent which borders the reserve .. says the
fire was fanned by strong winds.
