NSW:Memorial service for Margaret Olley today
A state memorial service is being held in Sydney today for the highly acclaimed and
well-loved painter MARGARET OLLEY.
Around five hundred people are expected to attend the service from 11am (AEST) at the
Art Gallery of NSW, a venue with which OLLEY was closely associated.
Premier BARRY O'FARRELL will be among those to speak at the service.
BEN QUILTY, the artist whose portrait of OLLEY won the Archibald Prize not long before
her death last month, is also expected to attend, along with members of OLLEY'S family.
