NSW: Man abducted and another stabbed

SYDNEY, April 11 AAP - A man was abducted from his Sydney home by armed men and taken
to a house in a nearby suburb where another man was then stabbed in the chest.

Three armed men, described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, broke into a unit
in Surf View Road at Mona Vale on the northern beaches about 10.30pm (AEST) and threatened
a 25-year-old man before abducting him, police said today.

All four then went to a unit in Queens Parade at nearby Newport where a 24-year-old
man was stabbed in the chest.

The armed men then fled by car.

The Newport man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where his condition was reported
to be stable.

Investigators were speaking to a number of people but appealed for information.
